How to upload a file

The process of uploading a file is best done by

  1. create the link
  2. upload the file

Create the link

The link is created by either [[File:filename.pdf]] To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:

[[Media:Adaptive Security Model for IoTSec-December 2-2015.pdf]] for directly linking to the file (the pdf is automatically opened)
[[File:filename.pdf]] for a link to the page

Having added the text, save page to save your wiki page. And then click on the red link and upload the file

Note:

Images can be added by [[File:File.png|200px|thumb|left|alt text]] to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with "alt text" as description

Upload the file

Having created a link, e.g. [[Media:filename.pdf]] , you will see a red link <red> filename.pdf </red>. By clicking on the link you get to an upload page, where you

  • select file from your computer,
  • upload to upload the file to the wiki. Note: don't touch the "destination file name
