WP5 - Requirements Reference Architecture

WP Title: Requirements on Reference Architecture and Reference Implementations
Project: SCOTT
Lead partner: ISEP
Leader: Ramiro Robles
Contributors: ISEP, VIF, CISC, CIT, EAB, Eye Networks AS, TECNALIA, HIOA, INDRA, ITI, JIG.ES, JKU, Klas Telecom, KTH, Wolffia, qplox, SIEMENS, SMARTIO, TU Delft, VTT, TELENOR ASA, VEMCO SP ZOO

Objective

This work package is in charge of the requirement specification of all use cases towards the construction of a reference architecture that will ensure interoperability, reference implementation and cross-domain application development. In addition requirements for all related building blocks developed in WP26 will be collected, analysed and consolidated within WP5. Work will follow the requirements process as defined in WP1. These requirements will reflect the technical challenges faced by each use case and each industrial domain of the project concerning the objectives of the project and their own needs. Therefore, the requirements, their specification and how they are addressed by each domain and the proposed architecture constitute a measure of technical progress, and success of the project. The requirements will go through a process of refinement and analysis both within and across industrial domains. This will allow us to correlate needs of different use cases (architecture and implementation wise) which eventually will be translated into an architecture design for semantic interoperability, reference implementation, technology reusability and different levels of security/safety. Summarizing, the objectives are as follows:

1. Collect the technical requirements of different use cases that have an impact in their individual use case architectures and on overall SCOTT architecture.

2. Provide an analysis of all technical needs expressed by the requirements and correlate common needs across use cases and industrial domains.

3. Correlate the different requirements with the objectives of the project and provide a framework for technical progress monitoring, architecture design, goal evaluation, and security/safety implementation.

4. Continuously monitor the progress of the reference architecture and reference implementations to meet the initial requirements.
