This thesis deals with the end-to-end reso … This thesis deals with the end-to-end resource control in a network consisting of a mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), which ich connected with a backbone containing a satellite link. The scenario is bases on an IPSEc gateway being close to the user, where it is difficult to communicate resource information in real-time to the applications.
In order to establish the resource situation, the measurement of end-to-end traffic and their resource usage have to be conducted. The quality of the results can be improved by adding extra traffic in form of test packages through the network.
