The leading entrepreneur- and investorcircles Gründernes Hus, Movation, First Tuesday, Inspirator, InnoDesign, Norsk Gründerforum, Norwegian Business Angel Network (NorBAN), SeedForum and Venturelab, representing in total more than 35.000 members, have joined forces to foster Early Phase Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Together they founded the National Innovationcouncil (Nasjonale Innovasjonsrådet) and postulated 5 specific actions to foster collaboration on innovation and entrepreneurship:
- Increase focus on research and innovation, become more active to manage our national knowledge capital
- Ensure our involvement in the global economy and amongst actors in the Norwegian society by ensuring good conditions for investments in start-ups.
- Ensure that the attitude founder becomes an attitude of honour. Founders and those helping them are today's heroes.
- Ensure that Norwegians, who are willing to invest in start-ups, see an economic interest to do so.
- Establish a national innovation infrastructure being amongst the world's leading infrastructures.
The political parties Høyre, Venstre and FrP supported the focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
As a start of the innovation infrastructure, the new Innovation platform InnoBors.no was launched.
