Baseline Based of the integration of hardware and sBased of the integration of hardware and software elements, WSNs will be developed in accordance with redundancy and fault tolerance requirements, considering the execution of in-field optimization techniques to adapt and enhance the performance of the overall distributed system within the target scenario, particularly taking into account wireless communication reliability and QoS. For this, the sensor to sensor communication technology integration will contemplate both the data distribution among the sensor platforms and also the connectivity capabilities with the WSN adapter.ctivity capabilities with the WSN adapter.  +
Current TRL TRL 3. Some nodes have been tested in the lab in previous projects, to test WSN capabilities and reliability. Modularity has been outlined.  +
Description Development and implementation of a WSN, fDevelopment and implementation of a WSN, focusing on hardening techniques, fault tolerance and secure communications. The WSN has to be prepared to enhance aspects like dependability, performance and energy consumption. These aspects are related both to hardware and software approaches, considering specific algorithims running in the nodes in devices such as both processors and FPGAs. The node will be designed in a modular way in order to test different approaches in communication and processing. This concept will be extended to upper levels of the network architecture including fault tolerance and resilience characteristics, when needed, and energy awareness when required. The results will be a WSN whose features will be traded by the user in terms of robustness, energy and QoS.this type of design will be particularly demonstrated for the rail use casesularly demonstrated for the rail use cases  +
