Objective The transition of the transport sector reqThe transition of the transport sector requires a substantial increase of charging infrastructures in the grid. As of today, the grid is already challenged by recurring and unpredicted demand peaks, influencing the grid quality. By adding a battery at the edge of the grid, we introduce flexibility, demand shaping, and novel methods for grid operations. The thesis will create a model addressing the use cases of car chargers, either in centralised location or in a rural settings. The main output is a model allowing for the assessment of input parameters such as grid capacity, charge demand profile, battery size and charge quality. profile, battery size and charge quality.  +
Pre-Knowledge This thesis includes a reasonable amount of system analysis.  +
