Innovation and technology – how to implement and scale-up? The way forward post corona.

Questions:

  • What do you personally see as the biggest potential in using new technologies to improve global health efforts?
  • Which global health challenges do can better use of technology give us the possibility to handle?
  • What are the biggest challenges in using medical technologies in improving global health, especially when it comes to low-income countries?
  • Are there any ethical dangers when employing health technologies in low-income countries(misuse of data by large corporations for instance)?
  • How do we scale up? Do we need new models for collaboration in global health? (Wider perspective – compared to single discipline focus?) (Need for closer collaboration between technology and health disciplines?)

Norway as a case:

  • What concrete steps should institutions here take to implement technology in their work abroad?
  • Many parts of the world are still in the grip of a global pandemic – are there any lessons from the Covid-pandemic that we can use going forward?
  • There is a danger that we (again) transfer our solutions to LMICs without considering the needs and the contextual specifics – how can we work together without partners in the south to avoid repeating such mistakes?
