We had a longer discussion on interactivity, suggesting

  • step 1: usage data from App and Web page usage
  • step 2: Interactivity with the material
  • step 3: Feedback from users on the content, e.g. "Thumb up"
  • step 4: interaction from people (using the apps) back to the University/Health Centres/Ministry of Health

We agreed on concentrating on step 1...3, leaving step 4 for a later stage

Upcoming work

  • Establish a list of Information pages for health

Ongoing technology integration at Kjeller with equipment from Witelcom and BasicInternet

We should line out the way for a) development of rural areas and b) the path for digital inclusion.

Regarding the development of rural areas, perhaps a study by Danica on development: electricity, light, mobile telephony, ....

Regarding the path for digital inclusion, we should establish the framework for a village platform:

  • digital health
  • education
  • community
  • business (local)
  • business (global): banks,

Note from Danica
Few years ago I interviewed a program manager in Uganda, Text for change project that used basic text information to support women and education. Now I see that this project web site has been changed and TTC Mobile took it over http://ttcmobile.com/about-us/ They are active, and take a look at their list of partners http://ttcmobile.com/partners/

Next meeting: Tuesday, 6. June 2017, 1300-1400h local Paris time
